Antique furniture restoration service

Carl did a brilliant job reupholstering our furniture. His colour and fabric suggestions were perfect and the workmanship faultless! It was also really fantastic to have Carl come out and quote, and not a salesperson who would have limited involvement in the job other than providing a quote. Michelle was wonderful at keeping us informed of the progress and dealt with all of our communications promptly and professionally. It was a big and complicated job and the results exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with the finished products and will be recommending Argyle Furniture Designs to anyone looking to reupholster. It is no surprise that we came to Carl via word of mouth ourselves.

Michael restored an old Chesterfield for us. The workmanship is outstanding and we would highly recommend Michael. Not only is he an excellent upholsterer but a very friendly and easy person to do business with.

Very rude not to reply or even acknowledge a polite, well intentioned email. I asked politely if it would be possible to send in some high resolution pictures of some items (2) and get an idea if they were anything special. Didn't ask for a valuation, just an indication. No reply after five or six days. Now, reading between the lines he didn't write, I went to the FAQs on the website and there it gives prices for valuations (he charges for verbal evaluations as well, must be very knowledgeable and this is a very valuable skill...).To not reply to a polite email is rude and lazy, since communication in the 20th Century and beyond is now one of the quickest and easiest things someone can do and mostly increases the chance of further business.

Phillip is a meticulous craftsman whom I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. His attention to detail and vast horological knowledge is second to none. He repaired our heirloom, Vienna regulator chimer, which had been previously, poorly 'repaired' by another clock repairer, rectified that person's botched attempt and was happy to give instructions on resetting and co-ordinating the hands and chimer.I'm very happy to give Phillip 5 stars, and more if they were available.

We used Complete Leathercare to repair our leather lounge which has gotten a bit worse for wear after several years of abuse from young kids and dogs! The man I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and sent someone out to give us a quote the following day. We were very happy with the finished product and thought the price was quite reasonable considering the good quality of the job. It almost looks brand new again! I would recommend this company.

Very professional service had a blanket box to be recovered, Michael helped us get the right fabric and design to match exactly what we wanted. Extremely pleased with the result. Would happily recommend and I will be using his services again in the not too distant future

Absolutely incredible workmanship, outstanding finish.

This man agreed to pay $600 for an antique desk from my daughter. He knew the desk was heavy and had to be carried downstairs. He loaded the desk onto his ute and then offered $500 to my daughter. When she said the price was $600 he remarked that if she did not accept the $500 he would dump the desk on the verge.This man is dishonest and not ethical in his dealings with clients. We are absolutely appalled.
